Victoria Strudwick re-trained into the beauty industry in 2015 after spending many years working in various administrative positions from oilfields in Texas to silk mills in Suffolk. With two degrees in political science and 14 years of bellydance study and practice Vicki brings a unique perspective to the salon.
Vicki is a graduate of GCUS (now known as Thomas Gainsborough School) in Great Cornard, and was brought up in the area. She remembers Mum Mandy working as a mobile …and at-home beauty therapist quite vividly. She was introduced to the Dermalogica skincare brand in 1993 aged 11 when Mandy became a stockist, and has loved it ever since.
Vicki attended Aberystwyth University in Wales from 2000-2003 studying International Politics, before moving to the United States. While in Texas she completed a second degree in Middle Eastern studies from an online university American Public University System (APUS). She also spent her time in America studying, teaching and performing tribal and fusion bellydance. She was a troupe director from 2009-2011. Vicki returned to the UK in 2014 and decided to re-train as a beauty therapist in order to join Mandy in the salon.
After taking a small break to have a baby Vicki is now back in the salon having completed her NVQ L2 in beauty therapy with distinction. She has also taken further training in manicures, pedicures and gel nails from Jessica, the product brand used in the salon; as well as classes in makeup and eyebrow design. She is now working on her skincare training with Dermalogica and is currently working on her Expert level classes. Alongside this she also is studying for her VTCT L3 certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. With Mandy as her mentor Vicki is quickly discovering a passion for skin health and results orientated skin treatments. She is currently offering a special case study package that will introduce people to skin treatments and chemical peels. For more information contact her at the salon.
