IonActive for Dehydrated Skin: Hyaluronic Acid

The fourth, and final, product available for the IonActive treatment is the hyaluronic acid ionactive. This product helps hydrate with intensive moisture for dry and dehydrated skins, but also calms sensitised skin and preserves skin barrier function. This ionactive is a good all round product and can really help sensitive skins.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide and occurs naturally in the body, predominantly in the skin (The Derm Review). It works by helping retain moisture, and can help plump aging skin. So it is ideal for dry, aging skins but is great for sensitivity because it also “help[s] heal and soothe inflammation” (The Derm Review).

Other Key Ingredients

Aside from hyaluronic acid, this ionactive product also contains Disodium Acetyl Glucosamine, which helps the body manufacture it’s own hyaluronic acid. The product also contains amino acids alanine, proline and serine, and sorghum bicolour bran extract, which contains high levels of antioxidants.
