Manicure & Pedicure FAQs

What is a Jessica manicure?

The range of products used in the salon was created by Jessica Vartoughian who opened the world’s first nails only clinic on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles in 1969. Since then she has created a specific nail treatment manicure that is customised according to the individual client using one of six treatment basecoats, a choice of colour polish, and finished with special top coats. Our therapists have all attended Jessica training and are qualified to offer these specialised treatments. We will analyse your fingernails and prescribe a basecoat suitable for your nail type and condition. We will then complete a wonderfully relaxing manicure treatment including a cleanse of the hand, massage of the hand and wrist (extended to the elbow in our luxury treatments), and finished with the custom colour of your choice.

It is ideal for those who will be using their hands a lot, or tend to smudge their polish easily but don’t want to commit to gel nails. It can be removed with normal nail polish and is completely dry within 30-45 minutes.

What is a gel manicure?

The Jessica range of GELeration polishes matches the Custom Colour range polishes but are dried using a LED/UV lamp and can last up to 3 weeks chip free *. Nails are dry by the end of the manicure so are the perfect solution for a busy lifestyle.
